Our family-run business company has a long tradition in the home repair & handyman industry. It was founded in 2020 by Allen Patterson, who started with a service contract for walk-in style bathtubs and showers in the State of Florida. Since 2020. Service Shield has grown into a multi-state warranty repair company servicing thousands of customers each year. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service to order to guarantee that all of our clients are 100% satisfied.

Our team

Our team consists of highly qualified and motivated professionals, who are all experts in their field. With a combined 100+ years of experience in the home repair industry, our team has the expertise to provide comprehensive, first-rate services to our clients. Service Shield is a licensed, insured and bonded service company.

Allen Patterson

Owner / Chief Technician

With a broad background in residential and commercial property maintenance, repairs and business management, Allen’s entrepreneurial drive to build and lead a successful team has produced one of the fastest growing warranty repair service companies in the Southeastern US.

Allen started out in the construction industry by working (digging footers in the sand) with his grandfather and uncles who were General Contractors in Texas, where he was born and raised.

Seth Patterson

Senior Field Tech - Southeast Region - FLORIDA

Seth joined the Service Shield Advantage team in 2021, and covers Central to South Florida. Seth is a Senior Field Tech and also serves as trainer for new technicians. He is a favorite with many customers requesting his assistance by name.

Seth is a Certified Safe Step Field Technician and talented at troubleshooting and diagnosing service issues.

Jared King

MISSISSIPPI / ALABAMA Field Tech

Jared King joined the team in the summer of 2022 and is a Certified Safe Step field technician with lots of experience in the industry, as well as multiple other business arenas. Jared has also served as trainer for other field techs and regularly gets calls from other techs requesting his knowledge and expertise.

Jared is also a trained and talented fiberglass repair technician and is very skilled in customer management.

Juan Castillo

SOUTH CAROLINA / SOUTH GEORGIA Field Tech

Juan Castillo is our newest team member, joining Service Shield in the fall of 2023. He has a strong background in the home construction industry and is not afraid to tackle anything.

Juan covers the Southern Georgia territory, as well as most of the State of South Carolina as a Certified Safe Step contractor and technician.

Roger Patterson

ALABAMA / GEORGIA Field Tech

Roger Patterson started working as a Certified Safe Step Field Technician with his oldest brother Allen in 2021, and is a considered by most of the team to be a Subject Matter Expert in the industry. His ability to troubleshoot and diagnose service issues is legendary. Roger covers most of the state of Alabama, as well as Mississippi, Georgia, parts of Tennessee and the panhandle of Florida.

Scott Schultz

Eastern/Southern MICHIGAN
Field Tech

Scott Schultz joined the Service Shield team in January of 2023 and quickly became one of our most knowledgeable and dedicated field technicians. As a certified Safe Step contractor, Scott covers the entire state of Michigan, as well as parts of Ohio and Indiana. Scott uses his strong background in facility maintenance to keep our residential customers happy.

Matthew Wendel

Kansas City, MO / Tampa, FL
Field Tech

Matthew brings a deep background in property maintenance and customer service, and has quickly become a dedicated and proficient field technician. Based in Missouri, Matthew travels to the Florida west coast and Tampa Bay area monthly to provide service coverage for our team with his unique skill set.

Jeff Burkhalter

PNW Field Tech

Jeff Burkhalter started working with Service Shield in 2023, providing a rich background in insurance adjusting and disaster evaluation. A hands-on and mechanically inclined guy, he has become a dedicated field tech and is a Certified Safe Step Field Technician.

Jeff traverses the peaks and valleys of the Pacific Northwest, but has often floated to other states to provide backup services when needed.

Jim Buchino

Western/Northern MICHIGAN
Field Tech

Jim came to our team with many years of commercial maintenance experience and covers the western shores and northern woods of Michigan. Jim serves our customers with reliability and a dedication that will give him many years of productive service.

Fabian Cardenas

MISSISSIPPI / GEORGIA
Field Tech

Fabian’s diverse background in construction and handyman in both Costa Rica - his native country - and here in the USA has proven to make him a very valuable member of the Service Shield Team. His ability to troubleshoot situations his outstanding and customers love him.
